Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College defender Damon Brown was named one of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Tuesday.

Brown, a senior defender from Seymour, Ind., led a the Thunder defense to a pair of shutouts in conference play last week. Last Tuesday night, Wheaton played 110 minutes of shutout soccer, tying North Park 0-0 in two overtimes. On Friday night, Brown helped lead Wheaton to its second shutout of the week in a 1-0 victory against Millikin.

Brown is a Liberal Arts-Engineering major. He has started every game this season at sweeper and has helped Wheaton to accrue eight shutouts and a 0.89 goals against average as a team.
