Men's and women's soccer programs to host CCIW Tournament semifinal matches next week

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton men's and women's soccer programs will both host CCIW Tournament semifinal matches next week, with each team serving as the number-two seed in their respective four-team tournament. The winner of both the CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament and the Women's Soccer Tournament, will earn the conference's automatic bid to 2009 NCAA Division III Soccer Championship in that respective sport.

The Wheaton men's soccer team is the number-two seed in the 2009 CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament and will third-seeded Carthage on Tuesday November 3 at 7 PM. Top-seeded Elmhurst will host fourth-seeded Augustana on Wednesday at 7 PM in the other semifinal. The 2009 CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament Championship match will feature the semifinal winners, playing at the highest remaining seed on Saturday November 7.

The second-seeded Wheaton women will host third-seeded Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday November 4 at 7 PM in one tournament semifinal. Top-seeded Augustana will host a Millikin, the fourth-seed on Wednesday in the other semifinal. The 2009 CCIW Women's Soccer Tournament Championship match will feature the semifinal winners, playing at the highest remaining seed on Saturday November 7. 

Students from CCIW member institutions, with a valid student ID will be admitted free of charge. Admission for adults is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors (over 60), youths and students without a Wheaton ID. Wheaton season passes, CCIW Parents passes and faculty/staff passes will not be accepted.
