Wheaton men's golf wins the Seaforth Rain Gear Collegiate

Bryan Sandvig won the individual title with a round of 72 on Tuesday
Centreville, Mich. – The Wheaton College men's golf team used a strong effort from Bryan Sandvig to get a team victory at the Glen Oaks Community College “Seaforth Rain Gear Collegiate” on Tuesday.

The team title is the second of the fall season for Wheaton, which also won last week's Taylor Made/Adidas Collegiate Series Invitational.

The Thunder shot 304-306-610 in the two rounds at Island Hills Golf Club. They are followed by Glen Oaks Community College (623), Holy Cross Indiana (649) and Calumet College (672).

Sandvig shot an even-par round of 72 on Tuesday to claim the medalist spot with a total of 147. Other Wheaton finishers included Dan Downey, who shot 75-79-154, Steven Moore compiled 78-77-155, Jonny Tink tallied 78-78-156 while Chase Yacko carded 76-85-161. The Thunder also brought three individuals – Bobby Tunberg (79-77-156), Greg Richardson (79-78-157) and Ryan Augustine (85-81-166).
