Wheaton, Ill. (5/7) - Wheaton College men's tennis player Josh Williams has been selected to participate in the upcoming NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Singles Championships, beginning May 18 in St. Louis , Missouri . Williams posted a 19-4 record this season as Wheaton 's number-one singles player and was ranked sixth in the Division III Central Region in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
Last week Williams received recognition as the CCIW “Player of the Year” in men's tennis. He was also selected by the league coaches as the “Most Valuable Player” of the CCIW Men's Tennis championship with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win against regionally ranked Miguel Yunes of Carthage in the number-one singles match of the CCIW Men's Tennis Championship Match between Wheaton and Carthage.
