Two of Wheaton’s incoming freshmen have been featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” segment in recent weeks. Golfer Jonathan Tink was featured in the June 29 issue of SI and softball player Danielle Schmidt was featured in the magazine’s July 6 issue.

Softball hosts the inaugural Wheaton Invitational

Wheaton, Ill. – The Thunder softball team hosted its inaugural Wheaton Invitational on Saturday at Ruth Leedy Field. Alma College defeated the Thunder 7-2 in the opening game and UW-Whitewater defeated Alma 1-0 in the second game. Each of the first two games had one delay due to rain showers in the Chicagoland area.

Today’s twinbill concluded the CCIW schedule for Wheaton as the Thunder now stand at 17-19 overall and 5-9 in conference play.
