Winneconne, Wis. – The Wheaton men’s and women’s cross country teams faced tough competition on Saturday at the Brooks Cross Country Invitational, hosted by UW-Oshkosh at Lake Breeze Golf Course. The Thunder men’s team was 12th in a 35 team field that featured seven nationally ranked teams. The Wheaton women’s program was 12th out of a 34 team race that featured six nationally ranked teams.

Aurora, Ill. – Wheaton’s men’s and women’s cross country team each posted first-place finishes on Friday at Aurora University’s Spartan Cross Country Classic.

Hanover, Ind. – Wheaton College was well represented on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. The Thunder women’s cross country team finished in 25th place and two members of the Thunder men’s team competed as individuals in the men’s championship. Senior Brandon Mull closed out his remarkable Thunder career with a fourth-place finish in the men’s race.

Rock Island, Ill. – The Wheaton cross country teams competed at the 2008 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday afternoon at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island. The Wheaton women’s team finished fourth in a 43-team field to possibly qualify for the Division III Championships next Saturday in Hanover, Indiana. The Wheaton men’s team was seventh in the 39-team field, with two runners qualifying for Nationals next weekend.
