Ruth Leedy Field is the longtime home of Wheaton College Softball. The north end of Ruth Leedy Field also serves as throwing area for the Thunder track and field programs. Ruth Leedy Field is named after Ruth Leedy, a longtime coach and professor at Wheaton.
Sheltered dugouts with a concrete floor were added in the mid 1990's. Renovations were made in 2006 when a permanent outfield fence and scoreboard were added to the softball facility. Leedy Field is 200 feet down the leftfield and rightfield lines and 225 feet to centerfield.
